Lenham Ballet School also offer a range of other styles of dance, including: Tap, Modern and Street Dance, as well as workshops. Please read below to find out more about our classes.
Tap
ISTD - Age 5 plus
Tap is an invigorating style of dance made popular by legendary artists such as Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, more recently evolving into productions such as Stomp and Tap Dogs. Students enjoy the diverse music styles of the ISTD tap syllabus, ranging from Waltz and Blues through to Reggae and Rap.
Modern
ISTD - Age 5 plus
An exciting, highly energetic dance style often seen on stage and in screen musical productions. Classes follow the ISTD syllabus which builds strength and flexibility, whilst developing musicality and performance skills. Dancing to various musical styles and rhythms, students enjoy the leaps, high kicks and travelling steps.
Street Dance
Age 7 plus
A popular dance form, Street Dance encompasses a wide variety of styles, including hip hop, break dancing and popping. This is a non-syllabus class where dancers get to develop their strength, musicality and attitude to contemporary music.
